Police Scotland - Road Safety Heroes
This is Constable Liza Murdoch a Police Officer with 14 years' experience in Road Policing based within Dumfries and Galloway, and whose job it is to patrol the region looking for those who choose to put the lives of themselves and others in danger by breaking the law in regards to safe road use
In her job Liza also attends various incidents from broken down vehicles and debris on the road, through to serious and fatal injury Road Traffic Collisions.
Liza's 'Road Safety Hero' message is:
"We live in a beautiful and scenic area of Scotland and it is great to go into the great outdoors, however whether walking, cycling, riding a horse or driving a car, the public road can be a dangerous place. We can however all be a Road Safety superhero, when using the road, please be mindful of the dangers to yourself and others, plan your journey in advance, do not take unnecessary risks and follow the appropriate advice in the Highway Code to keep yourself and others safe."
